UK GUNDOG TRAINER OF THE YEAR 2019

 

Corbinsbere Gundogs is based on The Duchy of Somerset's, Maiden Bradley Estate in Wiltshire and is owned by Tracy Corbin.

 

Specialising in Spaniels and Retrievers, Tracy has 20 years experience in the field working on many shoots in Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire and Hampshire. In 2009 Tracy took the plunge forming Corbinsbere Gundogs and has never looked back.

 

Tracy initially started training her dogs for the shooting field as a young teenager beating on local shoots in Dorset. Gundogs became her passion and she is often seen out working a team of spaniels in the beating line, rough shooting or out picking up. Tracy has in the more recent years taken her training further, competing with working cockers and springer spaniels, achieving field trial awards in both breeds.

 

Tracy draws on a lifetime of knowledge working with gundogs, this invaluable experience has led to her hobby becoming a full time career providing successful structured training techniques. Tracy's emphasis is on teaching the handler more than the dog and delivers a step by step training program for all gundog breeds starting from general obedience to high level field work.

 

In 2019 Tracy was awarded UK Gundog Trainer of the Year and proudly received the Keith Erlandson Memorial Trophy.
